A while back I got an invitation to apply for a very cool program run by Big Ink, a printmaking partnership that travels all over the U.S., recruiting artists who do woodcuts to participate in public printing events. They specialize in making really large prints, so I got excited and decided to make a 3-foot by 4-foot print.
I chose an image from a book I'm collaborating on, about a slightly magical fox. Almost done carving the block now and looking forward to the printing event!
Once the initial black & white pints are pulled this weekend, I'll begin experimenting with color. I can't wait!!
